The developers of Parris Landing chose several uniquely different interior design firms to energize the model residences and offer the buyer an array of contemporary or traditional designs.
One of the residences was created by world-renowned designer Philippe Starck and his London-based company YOO. The YOO/Philippe Starck model residence combines sleek modernist details with loads of personality. The triplex model contains a playful combination of fabrics on the main floor, while the roof deck sports an eclectic mix of Starck-designed furniture as well as whimsical pieces designed by others.
Another model residence was created by Riha Design Group, known for their mix of the classic and contemporary as is evident in their design for one of the two bedroom model units (shown above and below). Innovative use of built-ins with rich materials and colors create a very appealing traditional yet modern home.
A local design inspiration transformed another model at Parris Landing. Debbie Sloan and her team wanted to create a space where people can actually see themselves living – streamlined and elegant but not out of their realm. Sloan applied unique fabric, woods and furnishings to the model residence to create a home that is both warm and inviting. Her model residence appeals to a broad audience and reflects Parris Landing’s urban sophistication and waterfront setting. |
